Assalamualaikum and hi! Subhanallah, just a few days left before we enter into the most blessing month, Ramadhan. I am very sure most of you are feel so excited. Ramadhan is the special month for all muslim. By that, we must ensure that this Ramadhan be the best Ramadhan we have because we don't know either we can still be in the next Ramdhan or not.
So today, I would like to share with you some tips to make our Ramadhan meaningful.
1. Write down your Ramadhan goal
Whenever our Ramadhan goal, just write down. Even it look simple,but it can give a big impact to us. By write what we want to achieve in this Ramdhan, we will be clear and know what we want, what we need to achieve. So, we will be more inspired to go for it.
2. Make Ramadhan tracker
During in high school, my school will give us a piece of paper that have Ramdhan tracker on it every year. It function to us mark down what ibadah and kidness that we already do that day. Before this, I just do it as routine. But slowly I learned that this is a good activity because we can analyse ourself. We know how is our performance that day and in the same time it inspired us to do the best. How this Ramadhan tracker look? In Ramadhan tracker, we will write down all of our daily routine for the whole 30 days. Then, everyday, we must tick which we have done. So, here I show to you how my Ramadhan tracker look:
3. Practice the sunnah in Ramadhan
There are a lot of sunnah during Ramadhan. For example, take sahur before Fajr, give sadaqah, read Quran etc. In this Ramadhan also you can practice to do something that you may never do before this such as Dhuha or Tahajud. Don't push yourself to do everything in one time. I suggest you to just choose maybe one ibadah that you want to practice such as Dhuha for the first 10 days of Ramadhan. Then, the next 10 days, you add another one. Or else, you also can just choose one and practice do it the whole Ramdhan. The most important is not how much ibadah we perform but how istiqamah we do those ibadah.
4. Perform Tarawih prayer
Another thing that make ramadhan special is, it have Tarawih prayer. We only do this prayer in Ramadhan. So, why not we try to perform it full the whole 30 day. Just do how much you can. If you can do 20 rakaat then go for it. If can't just do 8 rakaat also okay. It doesn't necessary for you to do it only at mosque or surau. You also might perform it together with your family or friends at house. This also can strenghten our relationship with them.
5. Join any classes or watch video
If you want to learn about Quran, you may join any classes about Quran. If you want to learn about prayer, you may join class about prayer. Just join any classes that you want to learn. But, due to today's condition, you may just join any classes through online. Besides, we also can watch any video or read online and refer to the right person. Learn something that you feel it can make you be a better person. If you have so many things to learn, why not you list out first and review back which one is the most you want to learn. You can't burden yourself to learn everything in the short time. It just will make you loss the joyness of learning.
6. Istighfar in your daily core
Why not, start in this Ramadhan we practise to Istighfar in our daily core. During we do our dishes, clean up our house, driving or walking. Istighfar can clean up your heart and it will always remind ourself to always do kind deeds.
So those are my some tips to make our Ramadhan meaningful and barakah. It may felt a little bit hard for the first time, but take your time. Do slowly and go with anything that you can go with. InsyaAllah, together we make this Ramadhan be the best Ramadhan we have.
